Franklin, New Hampshire Wilma Athalie (Bartlett) Griffith Wilma A. Griffith, 92, a resident of Franklin died Sunday, December 31, 2017 at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen, NH following a period of failing health. Wilma was born in Marshfield, Vermont, October 31, 1925, daughter of Leland and Violet Mae (Rushlow) Bartlett. She lived in Worcester, MA, Barre and Plainfield, Vermont before moving to Franklin 13 years ago. Wilma graduated from Plainfield High School. A homemaker, she also taught piano and organ at her home in Worcester, enjoyed playing the accordion and loved cats. A Mormon, Wilma was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was honored to serve a Mission with her husband at the Washington, DC Temple . She was predeceased by her husband, James A. Griffith who died in 1997, a son, Douglas Griffith, a daughter, Cindy Labelle and grandson, Dustin Labelle. She leaves, Her sons, Steven J. Griffith of High Point, North Carolina and Robert K. Griffith of Franklin, NH 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren Her sister, Ruth Thurber of Franklin Generational nieces and nephews A time of remembrance will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 90 Clinton St. in Concord, NH , with a service to follow at 11:00 AM. Spring burial will be held in the Center Cemetery Plainfield, VT. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home of Tilton, NH.
