Franklin William L. St. Jean William L. St. Jean, 74, a resident of Franklin for the past 25 years died at his home, Saturday, August 8, 2015, following a short illness. Bill was a resident of the Laconia State School from 1951 until 1989. He was born in Manchester, June 24, 1941, son of William J. St. Jean Jr. and Lillian (Boute) Gain. Bill attended the Sanbornton Congregational Church, UCC. He was a member of the Barton family while living in Franklin. They were at his side when he died. He leaves his caregivers, Susan and Steven Barton and their daughters, Amanda and Kaylah. Bill enjoyed all family activities especially watching the kids play softball. He also enjoyed productions of The Franklin Footlight Theatre as he had the opportunity to watch plays being developed from beginning to end. He always enjoyed sharing a meal at a family gathering. A service will be held Sunday, August 16, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Sanbornton Congregational Church, UCC with Reverend Ruth Martz, Pastor, officiating. A gathering will follow in the undercroft following the service. Arrangements are under the care of the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home in Tilton.
