William Francis Sheedy Sr.

Tilton William F. Sheedy Sr. William �Bill� Francis Sheedy Sr, 84, a longtime resident of Derry, died suddenly at his home in Tilton on December 10, 2013. He was born in Derry on November 22, 1929 the son of the late Augustin and Irene (Bertran) Sheedy. Bill was raised and educated in Derry, moving to Northport, Fl before moving to Tilton 2 � years ago. William worked for Raytheon in MA prior to starting his own flooring business, Custom Carpet Center in Derry. Bill was a U.S. Navy veteran serving on board the USS Becuna. He was a member of the K of C in Derry, the American Legion in Derry and the WWII Submarine Veterans Club. He was also lifetime member of the VFW in Salem and the NH Veterans Association. Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved to play golf and was a member of the men�s golf league at the Hoodkroft Country Club in Derry. He was of Catholic Faith. Pleasant, MI Steven Sheedy of Pittsfield Robert Sheedy of Allenstown His daughter: Cynthia Gimski of Port Charlotte, FL Several grandchildren Several great grandchildren 2 great-great grandchildren His brothers: Gus Sheedy of Derry George Sheedy of Greensboro, GA His sisters: Paula Davis of Manchester Mary Lou Tomkiewitz of The Villages, FL Karen Dolan of Goffstown According to Bill�s wishes there are no calling hours. A graveside committal with military honors will be held on Monday, December 16, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. Burial will follow.
