William "Bill" H. Cummings Ii

It is with great sadness that the family of William “Bill” H. Cummings II announce his passing on October 25, 2023 in Tennessee at the age of 82.
Bill was born October 8, 1941 in Franklin NH to Winfred H. Cummings Jr. and Doris T. Cummings. He lived much of his life in Hill, NH before moving to Tennessee in 2008.
Bill proudly served his country in the Air Force from 1961-1965 with his last duty being with the 355 Armament and Electronics Maintenance Squadron.
Bill took great pride in helping others through his work as an insurance agent, a job he enjoyed for 38 years. Bill was a community-oriented man serving as a Selectman in Hill for 15 years, a Hill budget committee member for 20 years, and a Hill School Board member for 5 years. Bill was also a proud member of the Kiwanis Club in Franklin, NH for 24 years.
Bill was a kind, friendly man with a dry sense of humor who enjoyed making others smile. Faith was important to Bill and he was a member of the United Methodist Church.
In the years following his retirement in 2006, he remained community-oriented by volunteering at his Church and with the local Boy Scouts. He also enjoyed spending time in his garden and making wine.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Winfred “Bud” and Doris. Bill is survived by his sisters, Sandra Trowbridge and Marcia Carden, and his brother Senachie Cummings; his three daughters; Angie and husband, Harold; Valerie; and Cindy and husband, Jamie; his Grandchildren, David and wife, Emily; Cadi and husband, Forrest; Bree and husband, Edgar; Kevin; Emily and her partner, Chris; and Winter; her Great-Grandchildren; Teddy, Louie, Linc, Gemma, and Joey
Services will be held on Tuesday, Nov 14th at 3pm at the NH State Veteran’s Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.
