Franklin Virginia N. (Gray) Downey Virginia N. Downey, 95, a former resident of Franklin died Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen following a period of failing health. Virginia was born in Sutton, NH, June 18, 1922, daughter of Bertram and Jenny (Russell) Gray. She moved from Taunton, MA to Franklin in 2000. She was a homemaker and widow of Charles F. Downey. She leaves a niece and nephew. No services are planned. Burial will be in the family lot in Mayflower Hill Cemetery, Taunton, MA.. The William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
