Tilton Vera G. (Lepelley) Prescott Vera G. Prescott, 71, a longtime resident of the Tilton-Northfield areas for over 50 years, passed away, surrounded by family on Sunday, October 12, 2014. She was born in Somerville, MA, September 3, 1943, daughter of the late, John and Margaret (McPhee) Lepelley. She was a graduate of Laconia High School with the class of 1962. A homemaker, Vera also worked for several years as a clerk and bookkeeper at the Park'n Go Market in Northfield. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Post # 49 in Northfield and VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Post # 1698 in Franklin. She will be remembered for her caring and outgoing personality. She was predeceased by a brother, Bradford Lepelley. Her family includes, Two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Steady and her husband Matt of Northfield Pammy Jean McLaughlan of Laconia Two sons, Shannon Eric Prescott and his wife Rachel Luksic of Loudon Peter William Prescott of Tilton Six grandchildren, Aleasha Marie Martin, Eric James Prescott, Mariah Elizabeth Bolla, Camden Elizabeth Steady, Isabelle Kathleen Prescott and Nahum George Prescott Brothers: John Lepelley and his wife Josephine of Northfield Harold Lepelley and his wife Caryl of Valley Springs, CA Sisters: Mildred Jameson and her husband Ronald of Tilton Barbara Chretien and her husband Chris of Franklin Dorothy Prentiss and her husband Raymond of Belmont Sister in Law: Judith Lepelley of Prince George, VA Numerous nieces and nephews Calling hours will be on Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road (584 West Main St.) in Tilton. A graveside service will follow at Park Cemetery in Tilton.
