Valerie Jane Stark, 74, of Laconia, NH died on December 12, 2022, after a brief illness. Valerie was the daughter of Leonell and Vera Mitchell of Brewer Maine. She is survived by her son Sean, his wife Alyson, and granddaughter Zoey. Valerie is also survived by her brother Leonell "Mitch" Mitchell Jr. of Bangor Maine and many other extended family members.
Valerie was a courageous woman who battled mental illness for most of her adult life. The Stark family would like to acknowledge Valerie's difficulties in life and her bravery in attempting to overcome her mental health struggles, and her desire to help others whenever she could.
Valerie had a tremendous support team throughout her life. Sean and Alyson would like to thank everyone who participated in her care through the years and the many dear friends who have always supported Valerie and her family.
A celebration of life for Valerie will be held at a later date to be announced by the family.
