East Andover Timothy H. Frost Timothy H. Frost, 75, a lifelong resident of East Andover, passed away Tuesday July 26, 2016 at LRGH in Laconia following a period of failing health. Tim was born Sept. 25, 1940 in Franklin, NH, son of Atherton and Eula (Cargill) Frost. He spent all of his youth living on Highland Lake with his mother, Nana, and two sisters. His family ran summer camps at their family home, "Nebessek". It was there that Tim learned to love the outdoors and nature. Tim graduated from Andover High School in 1958. He joined the US Navy right after graduation. He served for three years and was aboard the USS Intrepid from 1960-1961. Following his discharge, he attended Burdett College in Boston from 1961 to 1963, graduating with his associate's degree in Business. In 1962, Tim married Elizabeth Emery of Woodstock, VT, and in the spring of 1963 they moved from Boston to settle in East Andover, raising their family where Tim had grown up. Tim then took over the family business, AW Frost Agency, in Franklin the next year. An independent agent, Tim owned and ran the agency for over 40 years, retiring in 2005. Throughout his life he enjoyed hunting, fishing, exploring the North Country, owning a family camp on Nash Stream. He loved to snowmobile and downhill ski, sharing his interests and passion with so many others. During the summer there was always a crowd at his home; visiting, swimming and waterskiing. Tim loved birds and wildlife, and was known to take in a stray cat or two trying to tame them and make them into house pets. He claimed to not like dogs, but had a real soft spot for his grand-dogs, secretly spoiling them with treats. Tim was an active member of his community. He was involved in the Andover Snowmobile Club, the Lions Club, the Franklin Lodge of Elks, the HLPA, Andover Fire Dept and a member of the Andover Congregational Church. Many remember Tim with his cotton candy machine at the Andover 4th of July celebration, too. Additionally, Tim served as a Corporator with the former Co-Op Bank in Franklin and Franklin Savings Bank, presently serving as Honorary Corporator with Franklin Savings Bank. Tim leaves his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth (Emery) Frost of East Andover, his daughter, Jennifer F. Turner of Warren Maine, and son, Patrick W. Frost and his wife, Christine of East Andover, grandchildren Haley and Benjamin Turner, Jacob, Erin, and Jared Frost. Sisters; Margaret Fenton and her husband Dennis of East Andover, and Louise Osborne and husband David of Loudon. He also leaves many beloved nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Sunday July 31, 2016, from 12-2 pm at the William F. Smart Sr Memorial Home, 584 West Main St., Franklin-Tilton Road in Tilton, followed immediately by a graveside service at the Lakeside/Lakeview Cemetery in East Andover with Military Honors and burial.
