Sharon Smith

Tilton---Sharon Lee (Nelson) Smith, a life-long resident of Tilton and Northfield passed away suddenly on December 22, 2024 in Boston Massachusetts. Born the first of six children on December 27, 1953, Sharon was raised in Northfield by her loving parents, Leon and Mary Nelson and was married to her husband Dennis, for 53 years. A graduate of Tilton-Northfield High School, the highlight of her childhood was her French Club trip to Paris. This trip was the experience of a lifetime which she enjoyed revisiting often - sharing memories and photos, and tips for anyone who may have the opportunity to visit France. Raised with a family tradition of Sunday dinner after church; Sharon’s love of family blossomed as she began raising a family of her own. She balanced her 30+ year career at the New Hampshire Department of Safety with that of a devoted wife and her most cherished role as mother to her two sons, Josh and John. Her attention to detail, and her willingness to always lend a hand for family gatherings...
