Middleton, New Hampshire Sandra I. Rousseau Sandra I. Rousseau, 76, a resident of Middleton since 2000, died Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Gafney Home in Rochester following a brief period of failing health. Sandra lived in Portsmouth for many years before moving to Middleton. She was born in Franklin, April 6, 1940, daughter of the late, George O. Rousseau, Sr. and Florence (Hueber) Rousseau. Sandra spent her youth in Franklin and attended the former St. Mary Elementary School and graduated from Franklin High School. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Occupational Therapy. As a registered Occupational Therapist she provided therapy first at the Easter Seals Center in Portsmouth, NH and completed her work life with thirty years of service at the Riverside Rest Home in Dover�gaining the respect and love of both residents and colleagues there. Sandra was always willing to offer a helping hand to others. Sandra enjoyed traveling with frequent trips in the United States, Canada, and Europe�often with her sister and friends. She also enjoyed crafting and photography; and received many awards at various competitions as well as much appreciation from those friends and family lucky enough to receive gifts of her crafts. She leaves a sister, Barbara A. Rousseau of Merrimack and a brother, George "Skip" O. Rousseau, Jr. of Gainesville, FL. Also generational cousins and many friendships made over the years. According to Sandra's wishes, calling hours will not be held. A graveside service with Catholic Blessings will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 1:30 P. M. at the family lot in Holy Cross Cemetery, Webster Lake Road, Route 11 in West Franklin. Burial will follow.
