Sandra J. Flanders

Sandra (Jacques) Flanders Sandra J. Flanders, 82, a longtime resident of Franklin, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025. She was born in Franklin on July 9, 1942, daughter of the late Eugene and Gertrude R. (Elliott) Jacques. Sandi left Franklin in 2010, to live in Rotonda West, Florida, where she enjoyed the sunshine and beautiful weather. Sandi had spent her youth in Franklin and graduated from Franklin High School, class of 1960. She went on to study at New Hampshire Technical Institute in Concord. She was employed for over 40 years at New England Telephone and later Verizon as a Station Assigner. She worked tirelessly to provide a wide area and extended telephone service, going door to door with a petition campaign, gathering over 3000 signatures. Sandi worked with Katherine Gile of Sanbornton to account for this feat, providing the local toll-free area.
