Franklin Ronald Malcolm Fowler Ronald M. Fowler, 76, a resident of Franklin, died Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia following a period of failing health. Ron moved to Franklin with his wife 1 � years ago, moving here from Grantham, NH where they had resided for 25 years. He was born in Concord, NH, February 19, 1941, son of the late, George and Leola (Bean) Fowler. Ron spent his youth in Newport attending schools there and was a graduate of Towle High School. He enlisted in the U. S. Army and served honorably with the Military Police in Germany, where he met his wife, in the early sixties. He retired after working with the New England Telephone Company for 37 years, 30 years as a lineman, and the last seven years as a Control Work Inspector. Ron was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He had a great fondness of animals and always had a dog at his side. Ron leaves, His wife of 53 years, Ingeburg M. (Smith) Fowler of Franklin Daughters, Ulrike Smith of Andover Kimberly Wilcox and husband John of Newport His three grandchildren, Amy Millios, Jennifer Wilcox and Tyler Wilcox. His sister Linda Nelson of Bushnell, Florida. Following the wishes of Ron, there are no calling hours or services planned. In lieu of flowers the family urges those who wish, to make memorial contributions in Ron�s name to the Upper Valley Humane Society, ?300 Old Route 10, Enfield, NH 03748.
