Franklin Ronald C. Dube Ronald C. Dube, 75, a longtime resident of Franklin died, Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the Franklin Regional Hospital following a lengthy illness. Ron was born in Oxford, MA, February 9, 1939, son of the late, Alfred L. and Agnes M. (Cote) Dube. He moved from Oxford to Franklin in his early teens where he lived with his family on a working farm. Ron was a graduate of Franklin High School, class of 1957. Following graduation Ron enlisted in the Air Force, serving from 1957 until 1961. He served with the 3635th Flight Line Maintenance Squadron and honorably discharged with the rank of A2C. He was employed at the former Plastic Fabricators in Franklin and later retired as a Machine Operation Supervisor with Aavid Engineering in Laconia, having been employed there for 26 years. A farmer at heart, Ron enjoyed the outdoors and was often seen outside bringing in hay or working on the tractor when you passed his home on New Hampton Road. He enjoyed collecting steins and accumulated many over the years. Ron enjoyed bowling during his spare time in his younger years. In addition to his parents, Ron was predeceased by a brother, Philip Dube, a sister, Dorothy Beauregard and daughter Karen Dube. He leaves his children; daughters Karen Samson of Franklin; Dawn Dube-Zaikowski of Hopedale, MA; Kelly Florence of Franklin; Rebecca Bezio of Keene. Sons; Michael Dube of Virginia and Kevin McFall of Franklin. His sister, Priscilla Denaris of Laconia and brother Donald Dube of Upton, MA. Numerous Grand and Great-Grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Monday, December 22nd, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road (584 West Main Street) in Tilton. Graveside services with military honors will be held later in the spring at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Laconia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ron's memory to the Future Farmers of America, in care of the the Winnisquam Agricultural Education Center, 435 West Main St., Tilton, NH 03276.
