Franklin Roger B. Yacopucci Jr. Roger B. Yacopucci Jr. 78, a patient of Manor on the Hill in Leominster, MA; formerly of Franklin and Deerfield, NH died April 4, 2014 after a period of declining health. He was born in Franklin, December 22, 1935 son of the late Roger B Yacopucci Sr. and Kathryn A (Murtaugh) Yacopucci. He attended Franklin schools graduating in 1953. He then enlisted in the US Air Force serving from 1953-1957 being discharged with a rank of S/Sgt. Following his service, Roger enrolled at the University of NH graduating in 1961 with a degree in accounting. After a series of auditing jobs, Mr. Yacopucci enrolled in the MBA program at the University of MA- Amherst. Following his graduation in 1966, he was employed as assistant controller at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital (now part of Brigham & Women�s) in Boston, until 1976. From 1976 until his retirement in 2000, Roger was Assistant Administrator/CFO at Franklin Regional Hospital (now part of LRGH Healthcare) in Franklin, NH. While living in Franklin, Roger served on the Franklin City Council from 1983-1986 and The Middle School Building Committee from 1986-1989. Family was most important to Roger and he enjoyed spending time with his children and watching his grandchildren grow. Interests included history and politics -having volunteered for many Democratic Candidates over the years. Roger was a life-long New England Patriots fan. His family includes his wife- Sandra (Lindahl) Yacopucci Two sons- John R. Yacopucci and his wife, Michele of Iowa City, IA and William D. Yacopucci of Franklin, NH A daughter- Deborah Y. Bodak and her husband, Dennis of Clinton, MA Three step-sons- Shaun J. Mooney and his wife, Deborah of San Francisco, CA; Evan P. Mooney also of San Francisco and Matthew A. Mooney and his wife, Amanda of Melbourne, Australia Four granddaughters- Katherine Yacopucci, Regan Bodak, Madeline Yacopucci, Lauren Yacopucci A step-granddaughter- Lila Mooney A sister- Judith Merrill and her husband James of Auburn, ME A brother- James Yacopucci of Rochester, NY Aunts, nephews and cousins Mr. Yacopucci was predeceased by his sister Jane E (Yacopucci) Cameron of Franklin in 2013. Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 24. from 10 am to 11 am at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road in Tilton. A funeral service will follow immediately at 11 am in the Memorial Home. Burial will be in the family lot at Franklin Cemetery in Franklin, NH.
