Robert Burton Morrill

Robert B. Morrill, 90, a resident of Franklin since 2011, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Concord Hospital in Concord after a short illness. He was born on October 15, 1933 in Hill, NH son of the late Osro and Mildred (Tucker) Morrill.
Robert was raised in Hill and lived in the “Old” and “New” Village attending the Jennie Blake Elementary School and then Franklin High School. Following high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army and proudly served during the Korean Conflict from May 5, 1953 to May 4, 1956. After his discharge he worked for several car dealerships in Bristol and Laconia. His last employment was for the State of New Hampshire where he was the Vehicle Inspection Manager until his retirement over 30 years ago.
Robert had many enjoyments in his life including traveling, flying his airplane or spending endless hours riding his motorcycle throughout New Hampshire.
He was predeceased by his parents, his wife; Cecile Cora (Addison) Morrill, his sister; Jean Morrill Bean and two of his nieces; Gail M. (Bean) Krauz and Sally J. Bean.
He is survived by his brother; Richard T. Morrill and his wife Patricia of Church Hill, TN and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 11:00 AM in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Old Town Road in Hill where he will be laid to rest next to his wife of nearly 60 years.
Memorial donations in memory of Robert may be made to the Hill Firefighters Association, C/O Hill Fire Department, P.O. Box 56, Hill, NH 03243.
