Tilton Robert E. Hewins Robert E. Hewins, 73, a resident of the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton since 2011 died Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the Concord Hospital in Concord following a period of failing health.�He was born in Framingham, MA, September 19, 1940, son of Earl H. and Mary E. (Columbia) Hewins. Bob spent his youth in Hopkinton, MA and schooled there. For many years he worked as a mason in construction with several constructions companies including Burgess and Blacher in Avon, MA and Fenwal in Ashland, MA. He resided in Penacook for several years before moving to Franklin where he resided prior to moving to the Veterans Home.�Prior to its closure he worked at the former Polyclad Company in Franklin. A U. S. Army Veteran he served from 1957 to 1958 and 1959 to 1961. He enjoyed living in and visiting the State of Maine. Robert�s family includes, Two daughters: Dawn M. Hewins of Stoughton, MA Erin L. and her husband Stanley of Taunton, MA A son: Todd W. and his wife Donna Hewins of Stoughton, MA Seven grandchildren His brother: Richard �Rick� Hewins of Hopkinton, MA Nieces and nephews A committal service with military honors will be held Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 11:00 A. M. in the chapel of the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 D. W. Highway in Boscawen, NH.
