Richard Hutchinson

NORTHFIELD N.H.-Richard R. Hutchinson, 66 of Vine Street, died Saturday January 11, 2025 unexpectedly, at his home. He was born in Concord, N.H. on January 8, 1959. The son of Robert R. and Virginia (Knowlton) Hutchinson. Known by most as “Hutchy”, he spent his early years in Andover, NH and graduated from Franklin High School in 1978. He spent his time pulling horses and helping his father operate his rubbish route throughout Andover. Hutchy was a former member of the Tilton Northfield Fire Department serving as a Volunteer Call fire fighter for over 30 years. He was a member of Tilton Legion Post 49. He worked for the State of NH for over 40 years as a Highway Maintainer and for Bridge Maintenance, retiring in 2019. Known as “The Legend”, he always looked forward to snowstorms so he could maintain the roads plowing for Sargent Enterprise until his death.
