Richard Taylor Currier

Richard T. Currier, 91, a longtime resident of Sanbornton, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 at the Pyareo Home in Sanbornton after a short illness. Richard was born in Laconia on April 5, 1930 son of George S. and Catharine H.S. (Bodwell) Currier. He was employed at the NH Highway Motel for 31 years and for Bookland for 10 years, both located in Concord.

Prior to moving to the Pyareo Home, Richard had lived for a short time in Laconia. Richard served as a past president of the Sanbornton Historical Society and served 75 years as a member of the Harmony Grange. He was also a member and strong supporter of the Sanbornton Congregational Church, UCC for 76 years.

Richard was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Elizabeth C. (Currier) Cotsibas who died on April 23, 2012. He is survived by his nephews, Paul and George Cotsibas, his cousin, Phil Bodwell and his close friend, Christopher Hunt.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Sanbornton Congregational Church, UCC, 21 Meeting House Hill Road in Sanbornton. Burial will be held in Centre Cemetery in Sanbornton at a later date.

Memorial donations in memory of Richard, may be made to the Sanbornton Congregational Church, UCC, P.O. Box 126, Sanbornton, NH 03269.
