Raymond Max Parris

Raymond Max Parris, beloved father, grandfather, and friend to many, passed away peacefully at Concord Hospital on Tuesday, October 29th, 2024, at the age of 92. Born on Wednesday, December 16th, 1931, in Meredith, New Hampshire, Raymond was a cherished resident of Loudon, NH. Raymond was a proud graduate of Franklin High School and continued his education at Manchester Tech. His passion for technology led him to a distinguished career as an IT Manager with ITT Corporation. His dedication and leadership left a lasting impact on his colleagues and the company. Serving his country with honor, he began by serving with the NH National Guard, Raymond then joined United States Air Force, serving in Japan and South Korea during the Korean War. After his military service, he continued to serve veterans and his community as an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) in Merrimack. Raymond had a lifelong love of the outdoors, finding solace and joy in both fishing and hunting throughout his life. He was known for his deep appreciation of nature, often capturing moments of serenity on New Hampshire's lakes and woodlands. Raymond was preceded in death by his loving parents, Max and Ruth Parris, his devoted spouse, Norrine Frances Parris and a granddaughter, Heather McGee. His memory will be cherished by his daughter, Sherri A. Parris and his son Allen M. and his wife Linda, who carries forward his legacy of kindness and strength. Raymond also leaves behind his grandsons, Jason McGee and his wife Stephanie, and Mark McGee, who brought immense joy to his later years. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during a visitation at Smart Memorial Home in Tilton, NH, on Sunday, November 3rd, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. A graveside service honoring Raymond's life will be held at Maplewood Cemetery in Salisbury, NH, on Monday, November 4th, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to Smart Memorial Home, www.smartmemorialhome.com, who provided compassionate assistance during this time. Raymond will be remembered fondly by those who knew and loved him, forever etched in our hearts and memories.
