Rachel Veronica (Poire) Manning

Laconia Rachel Veronica (Poire) Manning Rachel V. Manning, 93, a resident of 30 County Drive in Laconia died Monday, September 12, 2016. Rachel was born in Laconia,�February 19, 1923, daughter of Ernest and Laura (Guyer) Poire. She spent her youth in Laconia and attended school there. Rachel had been a resident of the Lakes Region for most of her life.�Prior to moving to Laconia in 2002, she and her husband lived in Canterbury for 12 years and wintered in Florida of over 18 years. She was a homemaker. Rachel was a former parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Tilton and active member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She was also a past member of the Laconia Senior Citizen's Club. Rachel enjoyed�traveling with her husband to points of interest in the east and Canada over the years. She found great joy in nature and her surroundings. Spending time with family and friends was a priority in her life. Rachel looked forward to watching golf matches and Red Sox games on television. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Harold G. Manning Sr. who died in 2006. She was also predeceased by her sister, Ann Marie Jewett and her brothers, Gene and Ronald Poire. Rachel leaves, her sons, Harold "Chuck" G. Manning Jr. of Northfield Steven "Skip" L. Manning of Center Stratford John W. Manning of Gilmanton Daughters, Bonita "Bonnie" V. Wyley of Clearwater, FL Grandchildren, Michelle, Scott, Stacey, Tommy, Jeff, Katy, Michael, Lauren and Brianne Great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Kayla, Angelica, Sarah Elyssa, Ian, Lillian, Liam, Kameron, Myles and Bohdi Great-great grandson, Alec Nieces and nephews There are no calling hours planned A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the family lot in Park Cemetery in Tilton. Assisting with arrangements is the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial�Home in Tilton.
