Normand Joseph Bourgeois, 82, of Tilton NH, 4/5/41-12/25/23
Normand passed away on December 25, 2023 at the Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord after a series of illnesses. He was born and raised in Nashua NH and has lived in Tilton NH for the last 20 years.
Normand was predeceased by his beloved wife of 41 years, whom he lovingly proposed to for 10 years before she said yes. He embraced her five children, and all of theirs, as his own, providing them with unwavering love and support.
He leaves behind their five children, Richard Jacobson and his wife Penny, Arthur Murray and his wife Teresa, Donna Mills and her husband Brian, Michelle Bell, Karen Cline and her husband Warren, as well as 12 Grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Normand proudly served his country in the US Marines and Army, completing tours of duty in Vietnam for both branches. He had a passion for football and was always the life of the party with his infectious sense of humor. Although he claimed to enjoy solitude, his presence could light up any room.
Family meant everything to Normand, and he took immense pride in being a devoted father figure to all those he encountered. He worked diligently for more than 20 years at the US Post Office before retiring.
During his retirement, he dedicated himself to caring for his wife, who battled medical illnesses and later dementia.
Normand will be forever remembered for his unwavering love, dedication, and selflessness. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, humor, and a deep love for family. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
There will be a graveside service for Normand on Friday, January 5th at 2pm at the NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen NH. Anyone who loved Normand is invited to join the family for final goodbyes at the graveside. The family will be gathering at the Green Ginger in Tilton, Tina & Norm’s favorite place following the graveside service, any who wish to join are welcome at their own expense.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Normand’s Memory to the Granite VNA Hospice House to support the outstanding care provided by the amazing team to so many NH families.
