Franklin Norman E. LaRoche Norman E. LaRoche, 82, a resident of Franklin for over 49 years,�died suddenly at his home, 55 Damy Drive in Franklin on Monday, December 11, 2017. Norm was born in Claremont, NH, March 8, 1935, son of Edward and Dora (Landry) LaRoche. He lived in Claremont until moving to Franklin. He had been employed in furniture sales with Arel Brothers in Claremont. He and his late wife spent several years living in Florida. Norm was store manager at Aubuchon Hardware in Franklin for 42 years prior to his retirement. He volunteered at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen for several years. Norm and his wife enjoyed traveling to the coast, enjoying the lighthouses there. Norman was admired and loved by his family and friends. Norm was a parishioner at St. Paul Church of St. Gabriel Parish in Franklin. He was a member of the Franklin Lodge of Elks, BPOE, 1280 and former member of the Franklin Kiwanis Club. He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Anne (Vacarest) LaRoche, June 8, 2011. He leaves, Sons, Mark LaRoche of Franklin, Michael LaRoche of Franklin and Mathew LaRoche of Northfield. Daughters, Aileen Kulacz of Franklin, Darleen Nau of Spencerport, New York, Doreen Glines of Meredith, Carrie Mekkelsen, Shapleigh, Maine, Colleen Conway of Meredith and Melissa Dressler of Warwich, Rhode Island. 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren According to Norm's wishes, there will not be calling hours. A Celebration of Norm's life was�held at the Franklin Lodge Of Elks, corner of Bow and Central St. in Franklin, Saturday, December 30, 2017, from 1:00 PM to 4:00PM. A graveside service will be held on May 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM�at Franklin Cemetery in Franklin. Assisting the family is the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home of Tilton. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to the Franklin Animal Shelter, P. O. Box 265, Franklin, NH 03276-0265.
