Neil Robert O’Donnell Sr.
Neil R. O’Donnell Sr., 63, a former resident of Melrose, MA, passed away at his home in Laconia after a short illness on Friday, November 25, 2022. He was born in Melrose, MA on April 9, 1959 the son of the late George and Alberta (Demitroff) O’Donnell.
Neil was employed as a mason, working alongside his brother and then as a carpenter in the Melrose area until an injury forced him to retire.
He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and cooking and spending time with his two children.
Neil was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Julie Lynn (DiLorenzo) O’Donnell who died in 2005 and two of his brothers, George and Paul O’Donnell.
His family includes his daughter, Emily A. O’Donnell-Hanser of Hopkinton and his son, Neil R. O’Donnell-Hanser of Laconia. He is also survived by his sister, Helen Cargill of Melrose, MA and two brothers, Dickie and Johnnie O’Donnell both of Melrose, MA.
According to Neil’s wishes there will not be any calling hours or funeral services held. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
