Obituary

It is with profound sadness and immeasurable love that we announce the passing of our beloved Michele (Shelley) Lee Tracy, who departed this world peacefully on June 15, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 83.

Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love touched everyone fortunate enough to have known her. She was the very definition of selflessness and had the remarkable gift of making everyone feel welcomed, valued and loved. She brought warmth and light everywhere she went with her most memorable smile.

Above all else her greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose love knew no bounds and whose guidance, strength and encouragement shaped the lives of those she cherished most. Nothing brought more happiness than spending time with her two grandchildren who she adored and treasured beyond words.

A devoted volunteer, Shelley passionately supported the Special Olympics alongside her son, Jeff, showcasing her commitment to helping others. She spent years supporting her husband and daughter's love of showing horses. Some of her fondest memories were the over 50 cruises she and Bernie took with their dear friends Hubby and Val Boggs. Shelley was also a proud member of the Red Hat Society, where she enjoyed camaraderie and friendship with her fellow members.

Shelley is survived by her beloved spouse of 62 years, Bernard Tracy, their son Jeffrey Tracy, and daughter Kerri Dexter and her partner Tod Odell. Her beloved grandchildren, Colin and Molly Dexter, whose laughter and love brought immense joy to her life.

Shelley leaves behind cousins Joy Smith, Larry Dugan and Steven, Brianne Bemis and Scot, Liz Dugan and Jimmy, Ginny Farrell, Bill Billado, and Barrie Cohen, brother and sister-in-law's Susie Betterncourt, Jerry Tracy and Linda, Dale Tracy and Michelle, Beth and Jim Anderson and Irene Byers and Chris.

Though our hearts are broken by her passing, her legacy will live on in the lives she touched, the endless love she gave and the countless memories never to be forgotten. In honor of Shelley's life and the love she shared, a celebration of her life will be held at a later date in July, where family and friends will gather to remember her remarkable journey.

Shelley was preceded in death by her parents, Col. Reginald Billado, Jono Billado, Barbara Noyes and her sister, Kimberly Billado.
