Michael G. Magoon, 77 passed away at Laconia Hospital surrounded by his family due to a brief illness on November 18, 2025. He was born in Franklin, NH on May 15, 1948. The son of Guy L. Magoon and Norma J. Nowak.
Mike graduated from Franklin High School in 1965. He enlisted in the US Air Force stationed in California. He became Sergeant before his discharge in 1971.
Mike had a strong interest in mechanics. Later to have a lifelong career in machining. He became a CNC machinist for Spraying Systems in Hudson, NH for 21 years.
Mike enjoyed reading but truly loved scary movies and novels. One of his favorite authors was Stephen King. What he enjoyed doing most when not reading was exercise. Bike riding, lifting weights. He enjoyed that so much, he had a home gym.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his stepfather Ludevick J. Nowak of Dracut MA; his sister, Kim-Lee R. Nowak of Derry, NH and brother, Theodore J. Nowak Pease Air Force Base in Portsmouth NH.
He is survived by his sister, Jodi A. Tracy of North Aurora, IL and two nephews. Sean M. Tracy and his wife Siobhan N. Robinson of Portland, OR and Ryan J. Tracy of North Aurora, IL. Various cousins living in New Hampshire and Pennsylvania.
What I have heard most from friends, co-workers and neighbors was Mike was a kind person. He was always there to help no matter when or what was needed. He never asked for help even when he needed it most. He is missed by all.
His celebration of life will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, located at 91 Range Road in Franklin, NH on May 29, 2026 at 2:00 pm.
