Bristol Marion B. (Corliss) Simpson Marion B. Simpson, 92, a longtime resident of the Alexandria and Bristol areas died Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen following a period of failing health. Marion was born in Alexandria and spent her youth there and in Bristol where she schooled. She was born in Alexandria, July 16, 1923, daughter of George and Mattie (Morrill) Corliss. She lived in Tilton for 37 years, moving back to Bristol in 2011. In her younger years she was employed at the former Mica Shop in Bristol and later worked in retail with local clothing and grocery stores. She loved yard work and was known to have the tidiest property wherever she lived. She had a great fondness for animals, especially her dog. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard G. Simpson who died in 1994. She leaves, her daughter, Gail A. Nyberg and her husband, James of Bristol her son, Ronald M. Bucklin and his wife, Marilyn of Bristol Grandchildren, Tom and Randy Bucklin and Kelly MacLean Great-grandchildren, Reese and Jaden Bucklin and Olivia and Camden MacLean A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road (584 West Main St.) in Tilton. Burial will follow in the family lot at Homeland Cemetery in Bristol where she will rest with her husband Leonard.
