Marilyn "Magy" Ann (Silk) Sheedy

Tilton Marilyn Ann (Silk) Sheedy Marilyn �Magy� Sheedy, 81, a longtime resident of Derry, died Monday, January 26, 2015 at Franklin Regional Hospital in Franklin. She was born in Seabrook on September 14, 1933 the daughter of the late James B. and Elizabeth (Drum) Silk. She was raised and educated in Lowell, MA, moving to Derry after marrying William �Bill� Sheedy Sr. They moved to Northport, FL before moving to Tilton 3 � years ago. Magy worked for Klev-Bro Shoe in Derry and helped with her husband�s Custom Carpet Center business in Derry. Magy was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary. Magy enjoyed sewing, crocheting and playing bingo. She loved to play golf and was a member of the Woman�s Golf League at the Hoodkroft Country Club in Derry. Magy was a breast cancer survivor. She was predeceased by her husband William �Bill� Sheedy Sr. who died on December 10. 2013. Her family includes: Her five children: William �Bill� Sheedy Jr. and his wife Sharon of Canterbury Michael �Mike� Sheedy and his wife Paula �PJ� of Mt. Pleasant, MI Steven Sheedy of Pittsfield Cynthia �Cindy� Gimskie and her husband Allyn of Port Charlotte, FL And Robert �Bob� Sheedy and his wife Roselyn �Roz� of Allenstown 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren Her sister: Pat Spinella of ME According to Magy�s wishes, there will be no calling hours. A graveside committal service at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest next to her husband of 61 years. Arrangements are under the care of the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home in Tilton.
