Marie O. (Ouellette) Ball

Tilton Marie Alfreda Bernadette (Ouellette) Ball Marie O. Ball, 80, a longtime resident of Tilton died September 17, 2014 at the Franklin Regional Hospital following a long period of failing health. Marie was born February 11, 1934 in Berlin, NH to Sylvio and Alfreda (Nadeau) Ouellette. She spent her youth in Laconia and graduated from Laconia High School in 1951. She had lived in Tilton for 59 years. Marie served in the United States Air Force from 1951 until 1953. She worked at the Laconia Needle Shop for 18 years, at Arwoods in Northfield and Franklin for several years and later as an LNA at the New Hampshire Veterans Home. Marie was a member with the American Legion Post # 49 in Northfield. She was active in many tractor pulling clubs and associations. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was predeceased by a son, David W. Ball, a daughter, Juanita M. Ball and brother Joseph �Victor� Ouellette. Her family includes, Her husband of 61 years, Wilbur W. Ball of Tilton, her son Ernest C. Ball of Northfield, her sisters, Rose Ouellette Crawford of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Jeannette Ouellette Corn of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Seven grandchildren, Amy Davis of Franklin, Dawn Cloutier of Tilton, Lisa Neumen of MN, Christine Butler of IN, Jonathan Baty of MN, Michael Ball of Alton and Jessica Stanley of Belmont. 14 great-grandchildren (and one on the way) Lindsey, Brenden, Kyle, Joshua, Emily, Sam, Mackenzie, Isaiah, Sarah, Natasha, Oliviah, Tabithah, Alyssa and Paige. Calling hours will be held Monday, September 22, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 P. M. at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road (584 West Main St.) in Tilton. Burial with military honors will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Ridgewell Cemetery in Guildhall, VT.
