Biography Franklin Marianne A. (Apostal) Pano Marianne A. Pano, 77, a resident of Franklin for over 50 years died suddenly at her home, February 28, 2013 with her husband at her side. She was born in Concord, May 7, 1935, daughter of the late Themia "Tim" and Aliqi (Mitrushi) Apostal. Marianne spent her youth in Concord and was a 1953 graduate of Concord High School. For several years she worked at the former Plastic Fabricators in Franklin and later worked as a secretary with the State Library, Fish and Game and retired from the Public Utilities Commission in Concord. She was a kind and very generous person. Marianne played an important role in helping her youngest sister, Shirley obtain a college education by completing all her financial aid applications for her. She was especially close to her niece Kristina and nephews, Arthur and Tim. She leaves her husband of 50 years, Basil Pano of Franklin Sisters: Phyllis Skafidas and Shirley Chadwick and husband Steven of Concord. Her brother: Richard Apostal of Concord Nieces, nephews and great grandnieces She also leaves her very special neighbors, Ernie and Lynn Sulloway who have been very helpful and supportive to Marianne and Basil over the years. A calling hour will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road in Tilton. A graveside service will be held for Marianne later in the spring at Franklin Cemetery in Franklin. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to the Franklin VNA and Hospice, 75 Chestnut Street in Franklin.
