Lorraine Ruth (Belanger) Parenteau

Tilton Lorraine Ruth (Belanger) Parenteau Lorraine R. Parenteau, 77, Tilton died Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Concord Hospital following a period of failing health. Lorraine was born in Franklin, December 19, 1936, daughter of the late, Arthur E. Belanger and Ruth R. (Maynard) Belanger. She was a graduate of Franklin High School. Lorraine had lived in Tilton for a short period of time but spent most of her life in Franklin. For many years she was a homemaker raising her two daughters. She worked at the former Miss and Master children's clothing store and Leon's Jewelry in Franklin. Prior to her retirement Lorraine worked at the former Polyclad Laminates in Franklin. Lorraine will be most remembered for her unselfish kindness, contagious laugh and her unconditional love for her family. She was the greatest inspiration to all of them. Lorraine had a great fondness for animals. In addition to her parents, Lorraine was predeceased by a brother, Richard A. Belanger. Her family includes, her husband of 57 years, Gerard J. Parenteau of Tilton, daughters, Lisa M. LaPage and her husband Robert Sr. of Bedford and Renee H. Sylvester and her husband Danny of Franklin, grandchildren, Derrick Sylvester, Dillon Sylvester, Robert LaPage Jr. and Jonathan LaPage, her sister, Loretta Y. Stebbins of Sun City, Arizona, and numerous nieces and nephews. In following Lorraine's wishes, calling hours will not be held and services with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery in Franklin will be private. If one wishes, memorial contributions in Lorraine's name may be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society, P. O. Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247-0572. Arrangements are under the care of the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home in Tilton.
