Outside of work, Leo found joy in bowling with local leagues in Milford MA and won many bowling trophies. He enjoyed camping with his family and having a good laugh around a great campfire. Leo loved the challenge of jigsaw puzzles and enjoyed playing card games with family and friends.

Leo is survived by his devoted wife of 68 years, Elizabeth J. Rankins of Concord, NH. He is also survived by his loving children and their spouses: Judith Watson of Biddeford, ME, Richard and Doreen Rankins of Upton MA, Leo and Diane Rankins of Newbury NH, Linda Rankins of Concord NH, Lisa Adkins of Sanbornton NH, Donald Rankins of Merrimack NH, Debra Spriggs of Northfield NH, and Stephen and Annmarie Rankins of Strafford NH.
