Obituary

In the gentle embrace of the New Hampshire hills, Laurette Mary Fisher, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend, laid down her earthly burdens on July 17, 2026, at the age of 95. Born on September 30, 1930, in Dover, NH, Laurette spent her days woven into the fabric of family and community, leaving a legacy of love that will echo through the generations.

A woman of quiet strength, Laurette made her mark in the world with her kindness and creativity. She began her journey at Bi Rite Wholesalers, where her steadfast work ethic shone brightly. Her passion for artistry led her to teach ceramics from her home for seven years, nurturing the creative spirit in those fortunate enough to learn from her. Later, she found joy in serving others at the cafeteria of Franklin High School, fostering connections with young minds and sharing in their laughter.

Laurette is survived by her cherished children: daughter Bette Hammond and her husband Wayne, daughter Katherine Monaghan and her husband Edward and son Frederick Fisher Jr. and his companion Diane "Dee" Carter. Her vibrant legacy continues through her seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild, along with several nieces and nephews who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Laurette was preceded in death by: her husband Frederick Fisher Sr., her parents Eugene and Merilda (Plante) Moore, and her siblings George Moore, Wilfred Moore and Leo Moore.

A graveside service will be held to honor her life and the love she bestowed upon us all. Friends and family are invited to gather at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 9:00 AM, where we will lay Laurette to rest with her husband.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Laurette may be made to the Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord.
