Concord Karen Jean Aldrich Karen Jean Aldrich, 57 of Concord, died peacefully at the Concord Hospital surrounded by the love of her immediate family on May 14, 2016. She was born on February 3, 1959 in Laconia, the daughter of John H. Aldrich Jr. and Neta A. (Whicher) Aldrich. A graduate of Concord High School, Karen loved sports and began her athletic career competing there. She was a top runner in cross country and track for the Crimson Tide for four years. She excelled as a Special Olympian for the following 35 years in a myriad of sporting events. She could be seen running the sidewalks of Concord any day of the week. She was an avid crafter, gardener and she loved to dance. Many homes are decorated with Karen's exquisite colorings and works of art. When you received a card in the mail from Karen, you were in for a treat. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and she spread joy with her unconditional love and giving spirit. She was a blessing and will be in our hearts forever. Karen was predeceased by her father, John H. Aldrich and her brother John D. Aldrich. Her family includes: Her beloved mother: Neta A. (Whicher) Aldrich Her three brothers: Steven and his wife Leslie Wayne and his wife Susan David and his wife Janet Also two nephews, one niece and two great nieces, Aunts, Uncles and also her new dog, Suzi Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road, Tilton. A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Memorial Home. Burial will follow in Park Cemetery in Tilton.
