Judith A. (Parker) Gloddy
Judith A. Gloddy, 82 years young, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Concord Hospital – Franklin with her family by her side. She was born in Franklin on March 21, 1941, the beloved daughter of Hubert A. Parker Sr. and Eva Mae (Patten) Parker.
She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Hubie Jr. and her sister Elizabeth.
Judith is survived by her husband of 58 years; Howard R. Gloddy of Franklin, her sister-in-law; Jeannie Parker of Franklin and her brother-in-law; David Gloddy of Tilton. She is also survived by her daughter; Kim Nason and her partner; Jay Preston of Lebanon, her sons; Howard A. Gloddy and his wife Heather of Northfield and Kevin Gloddy and his wife Lisa of Franklin, her grandchildren; Seth Nason, Patrick Gloddy, Kristin Nason, Rylee Preston, Aaliyah Gloddy, Hunter Gloddy and Layla Gloddy, her great granddaughters; Avery and Quinn, a niece, nephews and their families.
She retired from the housekeeping and laundry department at Golden Crest in Franklin in 2012 after many years. She loved spending time with her family, knitting and putting her puzzles together. She enjoyed her time at their camp in Pittsburg and in later years, at their camper in Lost River Campground in North Woodstock, where she spent many hours with her friends on the mountain.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 1:00 PM o 3:00 PM at the Smart Memorial Home, 584 West Main St., Tilton. A funeral service will follow the hours at 3:00 PM. Burial will be held in the spring in Franklin Cemetery in Franklin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Judith may be made to the Franklin Animal Shelter or to the American Heart Association.
