Franklin Joseph W. Harbour Joseph W. Harbour, 80, a resident of Franklin for most his life, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen, following a long illness. Joe was born in Franklin, March 7, 1935, son of the late, Eugene G. Harbour and Bertha M. (Danforth) Harbour. He attended Franklin Schools and was a graduate of Franklin High School, class of 1954. Joe excelled in sports while in high school. He served honorably with the U. S. Air Force, 31st Field Maintenance Squadron, serving during the Korean War. He later worked as a parts manager for Benson Auto in Franklin for over 34 years prior to his retirement. Joe was a longtime member of the Franklin Lodge of Elks, BPOE, 1280 where he enjoyed visiting with friends and playing pool on several teams. For many years he attended services at the Congregational Church in Franklin. Joe was predeceased by brothers, Paul and Edwin "Sonny" Harbour and sister, Betty Burleigh. He is survived by his wife of 60 years. Lorraine E. (Hannan) Harbour of the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen daughters, Catherine Harbour of Phoenix, Arizona Cheryl Carignan and her husband David of Franklin Diann Judkins of Franklin grandchildren, Michael Judkins, Brittany Judkins and Zachary Harbour great-grand sons, Niko and Jax Harbour sister, Gloria Shaw and her husband Tom of Scarborough, ME Nieces and Nephews Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 24, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road in Tilton. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 11:30 AM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 D.W. Highway in Boscawen.
