Gilmanton John W. Richardson John W. Richardson, 68, a resident of Gilmanton since, 1982, died Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon. John was born in Lowell, MA, June 1, 1948, son of the late Herbert D. Richardson Sr. and Hilda E. (Peabody) Richardson. He spent his youth and schooled in Pelham later graduating from Plymouth State. Following graduation he was Minister of a congregation in Mason, NH for several years. Prior to his move to Gilmanton, John lived in Pelham and Whitefield. He retired after 38 years with the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human services where his employment included investigational case work. He enjoyed black powder shooting competitions, umpiring Woman's Softball, golf, and was a member of, and heavily involved in the National Muzzle Loaders Rifle Association. He leaves his wife of 40 years, Marilyn J. (Corson) Richardson of Gilmanton his brother, Herbert D. Richardson Jr. & wife Rita, of Lancaster, nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on January 4, 2017 at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road, in Tilton. Burial will be at the convenience of his family.
