Life Legacy Salisbury, NH John P. Anderson John Patrick Anderson, 82, a former Harwich, MA resident died on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Brigham and Women�s Hospital in Boston after a short illness. He was born in County Cork, Ireland on October 18, 1930 son of the late Thomas and Lillian Anderson. He majored in Criminal Justice Studies. John was employed as a police officer with the Harvard University Police Department for 35 years, retiring in 1996 as a Lieutenant. He also managed a business, AA Problem Wildlife Removal in Harwich, MA, taking care of animals. After raising his children in Derry, NH, the family moved to Harwich, MA until living with his daughter in Salisbury. He was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church in Harwich, MA and a member of the Knights of Columbus in Derry, NH. John was predeceased by his parents and his twin sister, May O�Brian. His family includes: His wife of 54 years: Kathleen T. (Caples) Anderson of Salisbury His two daughters: Mary Ellen Ploettner of PA Kathleen A. Anderson of Salisbury His Grandchildren: Kristine, Amanda, Walter, Dominic and Jessica His Great Grandchildren: Timothy and Kaitlyn His sister: Lil Cotter of Fermoy, Ireland And nieces and nephews Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road in Tilton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 1:00 PM at St. Joseph Parish in Belmont, NH. Burial will follow the Mass in Holy Cross Cemetery in Franklin, NH. Memorial contributions in memory of John may be made to the National Shrine of Divine Mercy at 2 Prospect Hill Rd., Stockbridge, MA 01262.
