Franklin Jeanne Rachel (Cavanaugh) Gove Jeanne R. Gove, 89, a lifelong resident of Franklin, died, Thursday, November 24, 2016 at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen following a long period of failing health. Jeanne was born in Franklin, August 7, 1927, daughter of Charles and Beatrice (Miller) Cavanaugh. She schooled in Franklin and was a graduate of Franklin High School, class of 1946. She was employed for many years as an operator with New England Telephone, retiring when dialing became popular. Following her retirement from the Telephone Co. Jeanne worked as a secretary at Franklin Regional Hospital for the Director of Nurses. She was active with the United Methodist Women for several years. Jeanne loved her animals, especially her cats. In 1950, Jeanne married the love of her life, Warren A. Gove who died in 1992. Jeanne leaves two daughters, Barbara J. Therrien and her husband David of Franklin; Eileen M. Gove of Franklin; grandchildren, Heather Therrien of Yulee, Fl. and Rebecca Alphonse and her husband Serge of Jacksonville, NC; two great-grandchildren, Tayevien and Keiana Alphonse. Following the wishes of Jeanne, there are no calling hours. Burial with a graveside service will be held in early summer when family gathers. Jeanne will be buried with her husband Warren in Franklin Cemetery. Assisting with arrangements is the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home of Tilton.
