Franklin, NH – Jean Mary Brown, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 8, 2024, at the age of 94. Born in Groveton, NH, on January 24, 1930, Jean lived a life of grace, warmth, and kindness.
Jean dedicated her life to her family as a devoted homemaker, creating a nurturing and loving home. Her spirited personality shone brightly through her love for dancing and shopping, and she was always ready for a lively game of cards with her friends. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Active in her community, Jean was a proud member of two Red Hat Society's, where she found joy and companionship. Her presence in these groups was marked by her lively spirit and infectious laughter.
Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry Carlisle Brown, and her parents, William and Veretta Pike. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy J. Moffett of Concord; her sons, Stephen L. and his wife Judy Brown of Eliot, ME, and Kelly W. Brown of Concord; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will forever cherish her memory.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Smart Memorial Home, 584 West Main St., Tilton, where friends and family will gather to honor a remarkable woman whose legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
