Jason P. Laplante

Franklin Jason P. LaPlante Jason P. LaPlante, 55, a resident of Franklin for the past several years died at his home, Monday, June 16, 2014 following a period of failing health. Jason was born in Pensacola, Florida, January 13, 1959, son of Maurice and Pauline (Gignac) LaPlante. Jason graduated from Franklin High School, class of 1977. He later attended Laconia Technical School, studying electricity. He worked for many years as a master electrician in Las Vegas where he lived prior to moving back to Franklin. Jason was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local #915. He enjoyed spending time with family, his beloved dog Buster, and the relaxing moments of the outdoors. His free spirit will be missed by all who knew him. Jason was predeceased by his father, Maurice LaPlante who died in 1975 and stepfather, Charles Colby in 2012. Jason leaves, His mother, Pauline (Gignac) LaPlante-Colby of Franklin His sister, Melissa (LaPlante) Moroni of Denver CO Brothers, Jonathan LaPlante of Apache Jct., AZ David LaPlante of Sparks, NV Stepdaughter and stepson, Alicia (Lucarelli) Hart and Logan Lucarelli and their mother Debra. Nieces and Nephews, Zach Moroni, Cade Jason and Angelina LaPlante. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road (584 West Main St.) in Tilton. Services and burial will be private for his family. Donations may be made in Jason's name to the American Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
