Janet Susan King, a cherished resident of Tilton, NH, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 12th, 2025, just shy of her 60th birthday. Born on June 18th, 1965, in Manchester, NH, Janet was a beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, known for her generous spirit and love for life.
Janet spent a couple years as a dedicated assembly line worker at Franklin Brush in Laconia, NH. Her industrious nature and welcoming smile also shone through her years of work at McDonald's in Tilton. Janet was a passionate lover of the great outdoors, with a deep appreciation for the music of the 60s and 70s. She found joy in camping, fishing, and thrilling rides on motorcycles. Janet also participated in swimming and downhill skiing events with the Special Olympics, showcasing her strength and determination.
An avid crocheter and card player, Janet was happiest taking day trips, exploring new places by car, and enjoying meals with family and friends. Her presence lit up many gatherings, leaving cherished memories for all who knew her. She spent 20 years with the Lakes Region Community Services.
Janet is survived by her loving mother and father, Robert and Simone King; her brothers, Paul King and his wife Denise, and Tom King and his wife Sheila. She was a proud aunt to three nephews; David, Scott and Kevin and two great nieces; Alison and Natalie, who will dearly miss her warmth and adventurous spirit.
A visitation service will be held at Smart Memorial Home in Tilton, NH, on Saturday, June 21st, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. A celebration of Janet's life will follow the hours at the Belmont Baptist Church, 49 Church St., Belmont. where family and friends are invited.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Janet’s memory can be made to Lakes Region Community Services, a gesture that reflects her lifelong dedication to community and support for others.
