Bristol, NH – James Burt, a cherished member of the community, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 15th, 2024, at his home in Bristol, NH, at the age of 67. Born on May 10th, 1957, in Lowell, MA, James lived a life filled with love, dedication, and passion, touching the lives of all who knew him.

James spent his career in building computers, bringing precision and dedication to his work at Brooks Automation. A committed and hardworking employee, James was respected and admired by his colleagues and always strived for excellence in his field.

A devoted member of the Knights of Columbus, James was a man of faith who sought to serve and uplift his community. He had a love for boating, often spending his free time navigating the serene waters of New Hampshire, where he found peace and joy.

James was preceded in death by his parents, John and Gertrude (O'Rourke) Burt, and his beloved brother, John Burt.

He is survived by his cherished family, who will forever hold him dear in their hearts. He leaves behind his sister, Judith Owes and her husband Winston, nephew John and his wife Erin Burt, nephew Benjamin and his wife Meredith Burt, niece Laura Burt, great-nephews Tyler Burt, Darius Burt, and John Patrick Burt. Each of them will remember James for his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love.

A celebration to honor James’ life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Establishment, 75 Princeton St., North Chelmsford, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, in James' memory.

James Burt will be dearly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
