Irene B. (England) Dubois

Franklin Irene B. (England) DuBois Irene B. DuBois, 96, a resident of Franklin for most of her life died Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen following a period of declining health. Irene was born in Salisbury, May 28, 1918, daughter of Joseph and Mary (Noe) England. After her children completed their schooling Irene worked as a lunch lady at the Franklin High School cafeteria and later for many years in housekeeping at the Merrimack County Nursing Home. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Irene loved books, especially poetry, many of which she could recite from memory. She loved to travel and made trips to California, Florida, Italy and Hawaii to name a few. Irene was predeceased by her husband, Walter, 4 brothers, Donald, Rene, Robert and Leslie and her sister, Margaret . She leaves, Two daughters: Janice Kenney of Hooksett Deborah Davis of Cape Porpoise, ME Three sons: Richard W. DuBois of Northfield Dennis L. DuBois of Bradenton, FL David W. DuBois of Ellenton, FL 9 grandchildren 14 great-grandchildren Numerous nieces, nephews, grand and great-grand nieces and nephews. Callings hours will be held Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road (584 West Main St.) in Tilton. A graveside service will be held Monday, September 15th at 11:00 AM in Holy Cross Cemetery in Franklin.
