Franklin Hazel L. (McLean) Inkel-Rickert-Fuller Hazel L. Inkel-Rickert-Fuller, 88, a longtime resident of the Franklin-Northfield areas died peacefully, Wednesday, April 23 at the Franklin Regional Hospital following a period of failing health. She had been surrounded by family and friends, sharing wonderful memories, in the days before passing. She was born in Montpelier, VT., January 12, 1926, only child of Flossie Gile McLean. She had resided in Northfield for a short time, living in Franklin for over 35 years. Following graduation from SpauldingHigh School in 1944, Hazel worked for several years as a clerical worker at National Life Insurance Company, later in the office of Broughton Accounting in Franklin. She married Ted Inkel while living in Vermont and together they had six children, living in Barre and Montpelier. After the dissolution of that marriage and her move to NH she married Wilbur Rickert and they had a daughter. Later in life she married Clark Fuller of Franklin, NH. She enjoyed life, although it was not always easy for her. Hazel had a wicked sense of humor and enjoyed a good laugh, even at her own expense. But most of all she loved to dance, teaching her oldest children to dance at a very young age while watching American Bandstand. In later life she may have had to use a walker, but she still was able to move to the rhythm and still remembered the words to the songs of her own generation. She also love her many dear and close friends. Hazel was predeceased by her parents and three husbands. She is survived by, and will be missed by, children, John Inkel and wife Laura, Judy Nokes and husband Greg, Kathy Ayer and husband David, Karen Otterman and husband David, Nancy Collins and husband Ron, Bob Inkel, and Laurie Dunlop and companion, Chris Philippy. 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Mtn.RidgeHealthCareCenter in Franklin, where she was wonderfully cared for over the last 8 years.
