Gordon L. Stone

Franklin Gordon L. Stone Gordon L. Stone, 70, a resident of Franklin died Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Genesis Center following a long illness. Gordon was born in Southbridge, MA, September 2, 1943 son of the late, Harry and Alice (Phillips) Stone. He spent his youth and attended schools in Charlton, MA, living there until moving to Northfield, NH in 1990. While living in Charlton he was active within his church, the Charlton Federated Church and sang in the choir. He played an active part with the youth in his community and their sports programs as a coach. He lived in Northfield until he was involved in an accident at which time he moved to Hill where he lived for three years. Gordon worked for over 42 years as a construction superintendent with R H White Construction Company. He was involved with the building of water and sewerage treatment plants in the Northeast. He was predeceased by a daughter, Donna J. Stone and a grandson, Joshua Stone. His family includes, his wife of 50 years, Elinor J. (Jeacopello) Stone of Penacook a son, Michael Stone and his wife Heather of Franklin grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Mikayla and Zachery Stone great-grandson, Micah Brown brothers: Clifford and Charles Stone of Charlton, MA A service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 2:00 P. M. at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Frankin-Tilton Road in Tilton, NH. Burial will be later in the spring at Park Cemetery in Tilton. Those wishing may make memorial contributions in Gordon's name to the NH Diabetes Association, 249 Canal St., Manchester, NH 03101
