Northfield Frank E. Darling III, 62, a resident of Northfield for the past 10 years died at his home, Monday, October 12, 2015, following a period of failing health. Frank lived in Chichester for 20 years and prior to moving to Northfield, lived in Concord for several years. Frank was born in Lowell, MA, February 17, 1953, son of Frank E., Jr. and Helen (Peitzsch) Darling. He spent his youth and schooled in Wilmington, MA. Frank was employed at the New Hampshire State Hospital in Concord for over 26 years, working in various capacities including being a concerned caregiver, and was involved in the medical and records departments. Frank was known for his wonderful flower and vegetable gardens at his home, admired by many for his green thumb. Over the years he enjoyed getting outside with nature and fishing. His family includes, his wife of 42 years, Regina (Mohan) Darling of Northfield, sons, Frank E. Darling IV and Lance C. Darling of Northfield, daughter, Tamie Cassidy of Franklin. He leaves three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He also leaves his parents, Frank E. Darling, Jr and Helen (Peitzsch) Darling of Chichester, brothers, William Darling of Haverhill, MA, Jonathan Darling of Allenstown, NH and David Darling of Barnstead. Sisters, Yvonne Lagomarsino of Wilmington, MA and Michelle Doucett of Chichester. Numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Sunday, October 18, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM to celebrate Frank's life, at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road (584 West Main St.) in Tilton, NH. Services and burial will be held at a later date in Massachusetts. Frank had great concern about children suffering with illness, especially those fighting cancer. His family requests donations in his name be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Hampshire, 814 Elm St, Suite 300, Manchester, NH 03101 instead of flowers. Memorial envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
