Francis Henry Griffin Jr.
Francis H. Griffin Jr., 71, a resident of the New Hampshire Veterans Home, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, October 16, 2021. He was born in Newton, MA on July 2, 1950, son of the late Francis "Bud" H. Griffin Sr. and Patricia (Montambeault) Griffin.
Francis was employed as a truck delivery driver, delivering the mail from one post office to another for the United States Postal Service in Massachusetts. He served the United States Military as a Seaman with the U.S. Navy in Vietnam and later the U.S. Army Reserves as a Staff Sergeant.
Francis was an avid fisherman and enjoyed being with his grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, a son, Robert F. Griffin and a sister, Cynthia Griffin. He is survived by his son, Peter J. Griffin and his wife Kelly of Brookhaven, MS, his daughter, Jennifer Knowles and her husband Bob of Norwood, MA, his 7 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by his 3 brothers, Scott A. Griffin of Billerica, MA, Brandyn J. Griffin of Londonderry and Christopher G. Griffin of Newport News, VA.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 10:30 AM in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, 110 Daniel Webster Highway.
