Eugene Harry Clark

Meredith Eugene "Uncle" Harry Clark Eugene H. Clark, 87, a longtime resident of Meredith, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton following a period of failing health. Uncle, as he was known to many, was born May 27, 1928, in North Woodstock, NH, son of Charles W. Clark Jr. and Arlene L. (Blanchard) Clark. Eugene served honorably in the U. S. Army as a CPL with the 307 ABN Medical Company, 82nd ABN Division. He also lived in West Hollywood, Florida for several years. He was a longtime Guidance Counselor at the Winnisquam High School in Tilton. Uncle's favorite pastimes included fishing on Lake Ontario and Clarksville Pond in West Stewartstown. He also enjoyed photography and watching "his" birds. He was predeceased by a brother, Daniel W. Clark of Northfield. His family includes, A sister, Dorothy H. Drake of Meredith and family A sister in law, Marion Clark of Northfield and family And generations of nieces and nephews According to Eugene's wishes, calling hours will not be held. A graveside service will be held at the family lot in Oakland Cemetery in Meredith. Assisting with arrangements is the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home of Tilton. It would be uncle's wish, that you take a loved one out fishing.
