Eric E. Usinger, 57, a resident of NH for the past 48 years, passed away at his home on Friday, May 26, 2023. He was born in New Haven, CT on April 23, 1966 the son of William and Janice (Lindblad) Usinger. Eric was a graduate of both ConVal Regional High School and Plymouth State College.
Eric was a monster on the dance floor, and had a laugh that many would imitate, but none could duplicate. He loved his family, trains, his ’72 Rover and ’63 BMW motorcycle, his cats Slim and Lefty, world travel, restoring his 1880s New England home, and a good bonfire. But most especially he was devoted to his beloved wife of twenty years, Amy.
Eric was predeceased by his father, William Usinger, who died in 1980. His family includes his wife Amy, whom he married in June 2002, his mother, Janice M. Usinger of Cary, NC, his two brothers, William E. Usinger of Charlotte, NC and Emil D. Usinger of Carrboro, NC, his sister, Susan E. Evans of Apex, NC and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
For 24 years at Coe-Brown Northwood Academy he employed his lively wit and humor to engage students in the subject of math. They often wondered aloud how their least-favorite subject became their favorite class, a testament to Eric’s powerful personality.
