Sanbornton Elizabeth "Betty" Aldro Elizabeth �Betty� Aldro, 79, a resident of Sanbornton, NH passed peacefully at her home, Friday December 12, 2014. She was born in Cambridge, MA on September 13, 1935 to the late Albert and Flora Fleet. After graduating from Cambridge Rindge Latin, Betty met Henry Aldro at a summer Salvation Army Youth Camp, where Henry was a charming lifeguard. They married April 16, 1955 and started their family in Arlington, MA. In gaining their success and recognition thru their work, they found their dream home on Juniper Rd, in Andover, MA, residing there for 26 years. They continued their successful marketing business with W. T. Rawleigh, becoming Twin Diamond Direct Distributors, and eventually retired. After Henry�s passing, Betty relocated to the Lakes Region of NH with her family. While there, Betty met many wonderful friends at the First Baptist Church of Sanbornton, Trip Center in Franklin, and the Tilton Senior Center. In the last 13 years of her life, Betty remained active within the community and loved crafting, crocheting, baking, and being with her family. She was predeceased by a brother, Bernard Fleet, sister, Martha Poppe and her husband, Henry C. Aldro who died in 2001. She is survived by her son Clay Aldro and wife Alice, of Sweden, ME; as well as 3 daughters; Dr. Pamela Gallant of Sanbornton, NH; Marsha Foden and husband Sean of Franklin, NH; and Joyce Walker and husband Michael of Humble, TX. She also leaves behind 8 grandchildren; Deborah Celado and husband Ben; Joseph Gallant; Justine Foden; Stephanie Foden; Katelyn (Foden) Nash and husband Josh; Jackie Foden; Joseph Robbins; and Jillian Robbins. In addition she has 6 Great Grandchildren; Olivia, Izabella, Blythe, Jolene, Jeremiah, and Lucas. Her sister, Doris Latta of Maynard, MA. In lieu of calling hours, a celebration is Betty�s life will be held Thursday, December 18, 2014, 11am, at the First Baptist Church, 17 Church Ln (Route #127) in Sanbornton, NH. Arrangements are under the care of the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home in Tilton. Those wishing to make donations in Betty�s name can do so to the First Baptist Church, PO Box 80, Sanbornton, NH 03269. A gathering will follow the church service at the Greenside Restaurant (Lochmere Country Club) 360 Laconia Road in Tilton. Bear right from church parking lot to left on I-93 South, use exit 20 and bear left, go by Tanger Outlet Mall for a short distance Country Club - Restaurant on left.
